If you find your life's so hectic that you miss what's going on in the news then check out SPB News. This RSS reader will let you get all the latest while you're sat on the bus or in between meetings.
SPB News is designed to provide you with the ability to subscribe to RSS and Atom feeds and download articles for offline viewing. The program comes with six largely tech-based preset feeds, including Gawker, Gizmodo, TechCrunch, and NewsBusters. However, Spb News also offers an online catalog with more than 1,000 news feeds in 70 different categories.
The touch-friendly SPB News interface allows you to navigate around the program without any problems. The app displays thumbnails of every story in Headline view, and once you open an article you're able to alter the text size, choosing between five different settings.
SPB News allows you to tinker with various options, such as setting automatic updates and article cleaning. You can also choose where you want to store articles. On the downside, SPB News doesn't have as many categorization and sharing features of something like Google Reader. Also, it can take a while to update all your feeds and download articles, but I guess this is worth it if you don't want to stay connected the whole time you're browsing articles.
Overall, SPB News is a powerful and easy-to-use method for getting the news you want whenever you want it.
